Fire in the soil event
The experience of cooking pottery in the fire pit and paper kiln
Fire in the soil
Pit fire is a kiln that allows us to bake different clays and create clay works with different decorations. Pottery firing in this kiln, while simple to make, requires skill to be able to produce all kinds of pottery with experimental firings.
Paper kiln is a type of basic pottery firing that allows firing various ceramic works, including super potterys, without having complex kilns and with wood fuel at low temperature (600-800 degrees Celsius).

was trained as an architect and started doing ceramics as a hobby at first. Finally, she quit her profession and decided to become a full-time ceramicist. Her everyday work is mostly concentrated on utilitarian pieces, such as tableware and functional wares made on pottery wheel, but she has made a couple of sculptural artistic projects apart. Her inspiration often comes from simple observation of current circumstances and she’s very interested in working on site specific projects. Ceramics is an ancient craft that is being so widely rediscovered now and for her, finding a connection between ancestral techniques, contemporary design and simplicity is just an amazing way of expressing.
